We are currently seeking a Sous Chef to join our dynamic team. This key role is perfect for a passionate, innovative, self-motivated, and hands-on chef who is deeply committed to quality and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background with a particular focus on Basque cuisine and be eager to contribute creatively while maintaining the highest standards of food preparation and presentation. At Cooks & Soldiers, the Sous Chef works closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations, while fostering a positive work environment and professional growth. Job Requirements
- Education in culinary arts or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a professional kitchen
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist, climb and maintain high mobility and flexibility in small spaces
- Capability to stand and walk for extended periods without breaks during busy times
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Must be self-motivated and hands-on
- Strong commitment to quality and teamwork
