Job Description

Loews Kansas City Hotel, the newest addition by Loews Hotels & Co in Kansas City, MO, boasts 800 rooms and 60,000 square feet of meeting and function space. With a sky bridge connecting to the 800,000 square foot Kansas City Convention Center, it caters to groups and meetings, marking the first such hotel opening in over 20 years in Kansas City. Featuring two signature restaurants, a Grab & Go bakery, and a rooftop lounge, this 24-story all-glass hotel stands out in the city's skyline, located at the heart of downtown Kansas City.

Job Requirements

  • Maintains restaurant kitchen staffing levels for optimal performance
  • administers and ensures adherence to departmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • responsible for smooth, efficient, cost-effective operation of restaurant food production activities including labor management, inventory control, and sanitation requirements
  • supervises/performs kitchen opening and closing operations
  • orders and ensures proper storage of raw food ingredients
  • supervises food preparation, production, and adherence to standards
  • organizes food handlers to meet Loews standards
  • monitors adherence to Governmental Food Service Sanitation standards
  • conducts equipment inspections and reports maintenance needs
  • interviews, selects, trains, and manages departmental team members
  • reviews and controls daily payroll costs
  • attends hotel meetings and communicates with team members
  • evaluates performance and provides necessary training
  • conducts department meetings
  • other duties as assigned
  • promotes teamwork skills
  • communicates effectively with hotel personnel
  • executes emergency procedures
  • complies with safety regulations and procedures
  • maintains cleanliness of equipment and work area
  • recycles whenever possible
  • stays updated with hotel information and adheres to uniform standards.
