Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Three or more years of progressive experience in hotel food and beverage or other successful food and beverage service industry
  • culinary degree with two or more years of relevant experience
  • proven leadership and managerial skills
  • experience in high volume catering with hotel top brands and fine dining
  • current knowledge of culinary trends
  • excellent creativity and strong service skills
  • ability to energize and lead a diverse culinary team
  • computer literacy

Job Duties

  • Oversee and direct the efficient operation of all food production areas
  • collaborate with the Executive Chef to ensure menu items meet high culinary standards
  • supervise and support preparation of all dishes
  • monitor cleanliness and enforce food safety protocols
  • manage food outlets, buffets, and displays for quality and creativity
  • assist Outlet-Restaurant and Banquet Managers in daily operations
  • coordinate food and beverage services for conventions and group activities
  • ensure kitchen equipment is well maintained
  • promote teamwork within the Kitchen department
  • respond personally to food-related feedback and ensure proper reporting
  • participate in departmental meetings and hotel committees
  • work within food cost budgets and control waste
  • oversee staff restaurant menu creation
  • foster strong interdepartmental relationships
