Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years food service or related experience
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstances
- Current Nevada food handler card
- Ability to handle EBT/Debit and cash transactions
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years food service or related experience
- Previous culinary management experience preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent knowledge of and ability to use current Microsoft software computer programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Publisher, as well as Google office suite applications, Adobe Acrobat and the internet
- Excellent interpersonal, telephone and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent detail, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work in a team setting with other professionals
- Ability to maintain a self-motivated and self-directed schedule, address multiple projects in a timely manner and take projects from beginning through completion
- Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstances
- Ability to handle EBT/Debit, and cash transactions
- Current Nevada food handler card
- Food manager certification preferred
- Culinary certification preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Comply with standards of service set by the Executive Chef and assist in assuring the same of all kitchen staff including volunteers, clients, and community service participants
- Coordinate food production prep schedules and ensure the highest level of food quality, taste and presentation
- Supervise and participate in food production
- Assist the dining room manager in training kitchen staff on proper methods of food prep, handling, proper use of equipment, and all departmental procedures
- Require strict adherence to health, safety, and food handling guidelines
- Assist in food ordering, inventories, menu idea planning, and special events
- Ensure temperature logs are kept up to date
