Job Requirements
- At least two to five years of experience as a chef in a similar environment
- Serve Safe Certification
- Ability to walk and stand during entire shift
- Ability to continuously reach, bend, lift and carry
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs as needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
- Polished appearance and demeanor
- Ability to lead and mentor a team
- Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, regulations, policies and procedures

- Knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, regulations, policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Provide guidance to kitchen staff members, including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
- Train new kitchen employees to restaurant and kitchen standards
- Supervise all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards
- Assist in recruiting qualified individuals
- Monitor and develop team member performance including supervision, assisting with evaluations, training, and scheduling
- Work with head chef to maintain kitchen organization, staff ability, and training opportunities
- Verify that food storage units meet standards and are well-managed
- Coordinate with restaurant management team on supply ordering, budget, kitchen efficiency and staffing
- Check quality of ingredients
- Keep cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours
- Monitor stock and place orders when shortages occur
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation standards
- Report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared
- Perform other duties as assigned
