Job Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for eight-plus hours per shift
- ability to perform frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, and walking
- good communication skills including talking, hearing, and seeing
- friendly attitude with strong customer service focus
- willingness to work varied shifts including nights and weekends due to 24/7 operations
Job Qualifications
- Three or more years of progressive experience in hotel food and beverage or related service industry
- or a Culinary Degree with two or more years of experience
- experience in high volume catering with hotel top brands and fine dining
- proven leadership and managerial skills
- current knowledge of culinary trends
- strong creativity and service orientation
- ability to energize a diverse culinary team
- computer literate
Job Duties
- Direct and supervise the efficient operation of food production areas
- assist in the preparation of food items based on standardized recipes
- ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of kitchen and storage areas
- monitor food outlets, buffets, stations, and displays for quality and creativity
- schedule and train cooks in all areas
- assist Outlet-Restaurant and Banquet Managers with daily and weekly duties
- support food and beverage services for conventions and group activities
- coordinate with other hotel departments
- manage food costs and minimize waste
- oversee staff restaurant menu creation
- promote teamwork within the kitchen
- participate in media and community outreach
- ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- respond to food-related feedback
- maintain and ensure kitchen equipment is in good working order
- actively participate in departmental meetings and communication
