The role available is that of an Executive Sous Chef who will operate under the direct guidance of the Executive Chef. This role encompasses a broad scope of culinary responsibilities including managing all facets of culinary and stewarding operations throughout the facility. The Executive Sous Chef will oversee food production, operations, and sanitation, ensuring all activities meet high standards of quality and health compliance. Key responsibilities include food ordering and receiving, maintaining food cost and budget objectives, preparing banquet event orders, and contributing actively to the local hospitality community and professional associations. The candidate will also play a critical role in interdepartmental communications related to event changes, maintaining kitchen equipment cleanliness and maintenance schedules, and training kitchen and stewarding staff on health and safety regulations such as Serve-Safe standards. The ability to maintain a health department score of 90 or higher will be essential to success in this position.
This position requires a seasoned culinary professional who is not only skilled in managing kitchen operations but also in leadership, team training, and inventory control. The Executive Sous Chef will assume responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef and assist with monthly inventory. The role demands excellent organizational and communication skills, a customer service orientation, and creativity in food presentation while preserving quality. Job Duties
