Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience as a Sous Chef or similar supervisory role
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Physical capability to perform kitchen duties
  • Strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Train all kitchen associates in performing job duties, including plate presentation and display work
  • Write schedules, evaluate, and direct all kitchen personnel
  • Maintain open verbal and written communication between management and associates
  • Write and present disciplinary actions as needed
  • Provide associates with necessary tools and equipment
  • Take immediate action on kitchen problems
  • Participate in regular department and staff meetings
  • Ensure high-quality food preparation according to recipes and smooth expediting
  • Assist in establishing goals and standards to enhance company reputation and profitability
  • Supervise kitchen staff, utility, and sanitation associates in Executive Chef's absence
  • Maintain records such as use logs, roast meat charts, and recipe cards
  • Submit payroll hours to Accounting Department timely.
