Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in kitchen leadership role in high volume environment
  • Culinary school graduate and related training is a plus
  • Knowledge of health department, OSHA, and related regulations
  • Ability to multitask, delegate, and manage projects in fast paced environment
  • Strong decision making and trouble-shooting skills
  • Ability to meet budgets including labor and food costs
  • Ability to train, develop staff and build team morale
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Fluency in English with business mathematics and data analysis skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Serve Safe food handler's certificate
  • Ability to travel and attend corporate events
  • Ability to perform physical requirements including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Oversee all kitchen production areas alongside the executive chef
  • Schedule, coordinate, and supervise multiple kitchen shifts
  • Manage kitchen staff, delegate responsibilities, and maintain accountability
  • Teach and adhere to City Winery philosophy, culture, and food quality standards
  • Monitor production procedures for quality, consistency, efficiency, and professionalism
  • Supervise adherence to operating procedures including recipe compliance, purchasing, and inventory
  • Lead training on proper food storage, preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation
  • Ensure high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety compliance
  • Report to work in uniform and participate in meetings and training
  • Collaborate with internal teams to execute culinary elements of events
  • Manage food cost, labor cost, payroll, and kitchen-related expenses
  • Participate in hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions
  • Develop and motivate kitchen staff to meet food preparation standards
  • Conduct kitchen meetings and demonstrate safe operating procedures for equipment
  • Monitor and approve scheduling and administrative duties in kitchen
