Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar or supportive culinary role
  • preferred degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management
  • food handler certification
  • alcohol awareness certification if applicable
  • ability to manage and coordinate a team effectively
  • capability to handle multiple priorities under pressure
  • strong communication and presentation skills
  • knowledge of or quick learning ability for financial and business metrics
  • proficiency with relevant software systems
  • flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • excellent knife skills
  • passion for hospitality and team-building

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of previous experience in a similar or supportive role in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
  • a 2 or 4-year degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management preferred
  • Food Handler Certification
  • Alcohol Awareness Certification if applicable
  • ability to coordinate and manage a team while handling multiple priorities under tight timelines
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to learn, retain, and present product, menu, and allergy information to guests and staff
  • knowledge or ability to quickly learn financial and business metrics affecting restaurant operations
  • advanced and adaptable knowledge of culinary arts, oenology, pastry, banquet, in-room dining, and management skills preferred
  • proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, POS systems, inventory management, procurement software, payroll and timekeeping systems, and business accounting software
  • excellent knife skills and product knowledge
  • passion for the hospitality industry and building healthy, collaborative teams
