Job Description
Wonder is a pioneering mealtime platform revolutionizing how people experience dining. Established as a leader in the food and hospitality industry, Wonder brings the convenience of diverse cuisines directly to customers, blending the best aspects of fast service with quality culinary craftsmanship. Serving multiple locations, including Melville, Wonder operates over 20 exclusive restaurants under a single ordering platform, allowing customers to mix and match dishes across different culinary styles, all in one seamless order. This innovative approach eliminates compromise, catering to diverse tastes while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and customer service.
At its core, Wonder is committed to making world-class food accessible to everyone, regardless of location. By owning and controlling every step of the dining experience — from recipe development and cooking to technology management — Wonder ensures consistency, variety, and excellence in every meal delivered. This unique business model positions Wonder as a front-runner in the food tech sector, combining technology and hospitality to deliver fresh, made-to-order meals with zero delivery fees.
The role of Shift Supervisor at Wonder is vital to maintaining the company’s mission and operational success. As a Shift Supervisor, you will oversee kitchen operations during overnight shifts, ensuring that the food quality and service meet Wonder’s rigorous standards. This position offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time schedules, typically covering late-evening to early-morning hours, which includes a pay rate of $21.00 per hour and an additional premium of $2.00 for overnight hours worked between midnight and 5 AM.
Your leadership will be crucial in managing kitchen staff and coordinating with other departments to guarantee an exceptional dining experience for every customer. The Shift Supervisor will drive operational efficiency by ensuring compliance with safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards, monitoring food stock and ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment functionality. This role demands a proactive leader with a sharp eye for detail who can motivate a team in a fast-paced environment while cultivating a positive and professional workplace culture.
Wonder values continuous learning and development, offering opportunities for career advancement through training and coaching programs. Employee benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K retirement plan with employer matching, life insurance, and an employee stock purchase plan. The company also extends premium holiday pay, an employee discount, and supports financial wellness through employer contributions to Health Savings Accounts. These benefits demonstrate Wonder’s commitment to the wellbeing and growth of its team members.
Joining Wonder means becoming part of a diverse and inclusive workplace dedicated to fair hiring practices and equal opportunity for all employees. The company actively participates in the federal E-Verify program to ensure compliance with employment eligibility requirements and champions an objective, potential-focused hiring process free from discrimination.
In summary, as a Shift Supervisor at Wonder, you will be a frontline leader engaged in delivering outstanding food and service quality, driving operational success during overnight hours, and contributing to a forward-thinking company that is reshaping how people eat. Your role will be critical in upholding Wonder’s promise of quality, consistency, and accessibility, supporting a dynamic team, and enhancing customer satisfaction across every shift.
