The Restaurant Server position at Neiman Marcus is a key role within the hospitality division that complements the elevated retail experience by offering exceptional dining services. The successful Restaurant Server will manage an assigned seating section attentively, ensuring guests receive personalized and thorough service from the moment they arrive until their departure. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in serving food and beverage and table service
- Ability to work independently
- Motivated and result oriented
- Knowledge of food preparation and culinary terminology
- Ability to multitask and interact with customers graciously

- Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift 35 pounds
- Flexibility for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts

Job Duties
- Serves assigned seating section of dining area in a professional and gracious manner
- Utilizes thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology, to provide detailed information to customers about menu items
- Leverages knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, including technical and service procedures
- Interacts graciously with the public and handles multiple duties at the same time
- Participates in daily pre-shift meeting
- Adheres to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including all authorized methods of payment, and maintains knowledge of the POS system
- Executes pre-shift, post-shift, and daily and weekly duties as assigned by supervisor
- Fulfills duties that may involve lifting objects such as tables, chairs, highchairs
- Cleans and maintains restaurant and workstation
- Maintains hygiene standards including clean and pressed uniform and professionally styled hair and nails
- Exercises integrity with scheduling and punch times
- Coordinates holiday, vacation, and time off with management
- Takes appropriate lunch breaks when applicable
