Job Description
Cinepolis USA is a renowned luxury cinema exhibitor dedicated to providing enhanced movie-going experiences through its unique theater concepts such as "Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas" and "Movie House & Eatery." Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Cinepolis USA operates 26 luxury and premium theaters in states including California, Florida, New Jersey, Connecticut, Texas, Maryland, and Ohio, with strategic plans for further expansion. As a part of Cinepolis International, the world's most popular movie theater exhibitor, the company is deeply committed to innovation, hospitality, and the art of film across the globe. Cinepolis offers customers an upscale cinematic experience characterized by cutting-edge technology, gourmet food and beverages, and exceptional customer service.
As a team member at Cinepolis, your role is central to delivering the distinctive luxury experience the brand promises. This position falls within the Operations department and is located in the theater setting, reporting directly to the General Manager. The position offers the opportunity to be part of a dedicated team focused on exceeding guest expectations in a dynamic environment. The job emphasizes proactive interaction with guests, meticulous order processing, commitment to quality service, and teamwork.
In this role, you will greet guests enthusiastically before they request service, ensuring every visitor feels welcomed from the moment they enter the theater. You will respond promptly to the Plex Call System to assist customers further and embody the company’s core values of nice and amazing service by following in-seat dining procedures. You will help guide guests through the menu, suggesting promotions, add-ons, and upselling items to enhance their dining and cinema experience. Attention to detail is essential, especially in inputting food orders quickly and accurately using the point of sale system, and in checking that guests have received everything they need to enjoy their meal.
Handling payment methods professionally is a key part of the role, including obtaining credit cards at the order stage to ensure seamless payment and minimize disruptions during the movie. You will be responsible for processing payments correctly and responsibly, managing alcohol service in compliance with safety protocols, and upholding strict standards in checking patrons’ identification to verify minimum age requirements. You will also be trained in alcohol service and safety, prepared to handle situations where guests may be intoxicated, and know when to involve management.
Beyond direct guest service, you are expected to support daily operations by cleaning theaters between movie sessions and at closing time, managing crowd control and seating, and reporting any issues with movie projections or maintenance needs to management. Completing opening, mid, and closing procedures—including side work—is an integral part of this role. Participation in regular trainings and meetings helps ensure you stay informed and empowered to provide the best service possible.
This position requires working in a lively theater environment with typical noise levels and activity. Physically, it involves standing, walking, bending, using hands for various tasks, and occasionally lifting up to 25 to 50 pounds with assistance. Working hours include holidays and weekends, offering flexibility and variety. The company emphasizes a supportive team atmosphere and values integrity, positivity, and the ability to manage stressful and fast-changing scenarios with a smile.
Cinepolis USA is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, committed to recruiting, hiring, training, and promoting employees without discrimination based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability status, veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic. Joining Cinepolis means becoming part of a global leader in luxury cinema, where you have the chance to grow your career while contributing to an exceptional entertainment experience.
