The position available is for a Senior Warehouse Operations Supervisor who will be pivotal in overseeing daily operations at BAL's fast-paced 3PL distribution center located in Astoria, supporting LaGuardia Airport's logistical needs. This leadership role demands a professional who can manage and inspire a team while ensuring strict adherence to protocols set by BAL, TSA, and airport authorities. The supervisor will orchestrate dock operations, monitor team performance, handle customer service interactions, and maintain supplier relationships, ensuring efficiency and reliability in all warehouse functions. The role is structured as a full-time, in-person position offering an annual salary of $75,000, accompanied by notable benefits including employer-paid health insurance and eligibility for an annual bonus of up to 5%. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in team or employee management
  • Experience in logistics, airport, warehouse, or related industries preferred
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM-1:00 PM with flexibility to work weekends based on business needs
  • Proficiency in written and oral communication and familiarity with word processing, email, database, and internet software
  • Ability to lift to 75 pounds
  • Pass a TSA background check
  • Meet drug, alcohol, and driver’s license requirements
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent direct work experience

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in team or employee management with team building and coaching skills
  • Experience in logistics, airport, warehouse, or related industries preferred
  • Proficiency in written and oral communication and familiarity with word processing, email, database, and internet software
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent direct work experience in place of education

Job Duties

  • Train, lead, and ensure team adherence to all BAL, TSA, airport, and customer regulations and policies
  • Oversee daily operations, including opening/closing, scheduling, distribution, and performance monitoring
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency
  • identify and implement process improvements
  • Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and airport stakeholders to optimize performance and resolve issues
  • Execute administrative tasks and consistently enforce company policies and procedures
