Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- Culinary arts degree preferred
- 1-2 years of kitchen operations experience
- Valid Food Manager Certification
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to stand for up to 4 hours
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina for standing and physical tasks
Job Qualifications
- Must be 21 years or older at the time of employment
- Culinary arts degree preferred but significant culinary experience considered
- 1-2 years of kitchen operations experience
- Valid Food Manager Certification
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
- Passion for customer engagement
- Ability to clearly instruct and inspire students
Job Duties
- Create exceptional educational experiences that inspire customer loyalty and repeat visits
- Deliver engaging in-store culinary experiences focused on pastry and baking that reflect Sur La Table's high standards
- Communicate advanced pastry skills clearly, ensuring classes are approachable and informative
- Stay knowledgeable on current products and actively engage in training and development opportunities
- Drive sales by maintaining standards, encouraging customers to enroll in additional classes, and promoting related retail items
- Achieve revenue goals through high class enrollment, stellar guest reviews, and repeat attendance
- Assist in the organization and breakdown of classes, including ingredient preparation and cleaning workstations
