Job Description
Whataburger is a renowned American fast food restaurant chain that prides itself on delivering high-quality, delicious burgers and exceptional customer service. Established in 1950 in Texas, Whataburger has grown to become a beloved brand with over 800 locations across the United States. Known for its distinctive A-frame orange-and-white-striped roofs and a menu that goes beyond just burgers to include breakfast items, chicken sandwiches, and a variety of sides, Whataburger has cultivated a loyal customer base that appreciates its commitment to quality and community values. The company emphasizes a culture that is warm and welcoming, much like a family kitchen, fostering an environment where team members feel valued and empowered every day.
At Whataburger, the role of Restaurant Manager is a pivotal position that drives the operational success and overall guest experience within each restaurant. As a Restaurant Manager, you will lead, mentor, and inspire a team of employees and team leaders to achieve excellence in service, food quality, and operational efficiency. This position is full-time and offers a competitive hourly wage between $22.00 and $24.00, paid weekly. You’ll have access to comprehensive benefits that include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K savings plans, paid time off, and more.
The Restaurant Manager at Whataburger is more than just a supervisor – you are a catalyst for growth and development. You will be entrusted with recruiting, interviewing, and training staff, ensuring that every team member understands and follows restaurant procedures and standards. Your leadership will extend across daily operations, covering both front-of-house and back-of-house activities, ensuring smooth shifts and exceptional customer interactions. The role also includes responsibilities for managing schedules, monitoring employee hours, recording payroll data, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, such as food safety certifications.
Whataburger equips its Managers with a comprehensive management training program known as Whataburger University, designed to enhance managerial skills and provide ongoing career development. This structured training supports your journey within the company, with opportunities to advance to a General Manager position, where the potential to earn a six-figure salary exists. This growth environment highlights Whataburger's dedication to promoting from within and rewarding commitment and performance.
The culture at Whataburger is characterized by pride in work, care for team members, and genuine love for serving customers. This positive environment is reflected in fun traditions, innovative team-building activities like Whatagames, and flexible scheduling to help balance work and life commitments. The company also values diversity and inclusivity, committing to equal employment opportunities for all, regardless of race, gender, or background, and participates in the federal E-Verify Program to ensure lawful employment practices.
If you are ready to join a dynamic team that values operational excellence, employee development, and a fun, welcoming workplace, the Restaurant Manager position at Whataburger offers a rewarding career with ample benefits and advancement opportunities.
