Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous management experience in a restaurant or similar environment
  • knowledge of company standards and operational procedures

  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • prior management experience in a similar organization
  • college graduate with a two or four year degree in hotel/restaurant management, business or associated field or demonstrated leadership abilities and business acumen as an assistant manager
  • completed all required management training and ongoing development
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to conduct effective interviews and training
  • excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • capable of providing candid, fair feedback and coaching
  • guest service oriented
  • ability to develop and motivate team members

Job Duties

  • manages restaurant environment
  • ensures prompt, friendly service according to company guidelines
  • directs overall activities and performance of team members on a shift by shift basis
  • ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints and refers written complaints to general manager
  • maintains adequate departmental inventory levels
  • schedules team members to meet sales demands
  • maintains safety and security programs and corrects unsafe conditions
  • promotes cleanliness and sanitation and coordinates routine maintenance
  • manages team member performance through recruitment, training, coaching, and regular feedback
  • monitors acceptable team performance and administers disciplinary actions when necessary
  • assures compliance with company policies and procedures
  • controls costs and assets of the company within assigned department
  • ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws and reports restaurant performance at management meetings
  • completes cash handling procedures and food and liquor inventories
  • develops assistant managers and key hourly team members
  • fosters a culture aligned with the company’s core purpose, vision, mission, and values
  • inspires cooperation and teamwork
  • completes all assignments on schedule
  • develops goals for personal and professional growth
