Job Description

This job opportunity is with a franchisee of Taco Bell, which operates independently from Taco Bell Corporation and its affiliates. The franchisee acts as the sole employer, setting its own wage and benefit programs that may vary among franchise locations. Taco Bell franchisees are independent business owners dedicated to delivering the signature Taco Bell experience in their respective restaurants. This allows for a unique blend of corporate standards and localized management, offering candidates a chance to work in a dynamic environment where entrepreneurial spirit and customer service excellence are highly valued.

The role focuses on managing the orderly and efficient functioning of the restaurant, ensuring high standards in quality, service, cleanliness, and hospitality, often summarized by the acronyms CHAMPS (Cleanliness, Hospitality, Accuracy, Maintenance, Product quality, and Speed of service) and LAST (Listening, Acknowledging, Solving, Thanking) system used by Taco Bell. The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding these standards, creating a customer-centric atmosphere, and ensuring smooth operations that meet both company and customer expectations. Key responsibilities include staff training and supervision, inventory control, budget implementation, and fostering a positive work environment. This role demands leadership skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and excellent interpersonal communication to interact effectively with employees and customers alike.

This position generally requires one to two years to gain full job knowledge and is performed under general supervision, with continuous interaction with both employees and customers. The role involves managing various operational aspects such as hiring, counseling, training employees, ensuring policy compliance, and maintaining safety programs. Working conditions may include exposure to extreme temperatures and noise levels, reflecting the fast-paced environment typical of food service operations.

The consequences of errors in this position can lead to customer dissatisfaction, employee issues, and loss of revenue, highlighting the importance of attention to detail and strong decision-making abilities. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in restaurant management or food service looking to expand their leadership skills within a recognized and respected brand's franchise infrastructure, while benefiting from the operational independence and local culture of an independently owned franchise.
