Job Description
Cowboy Chicken is a well-established fast casual restaurant known for its authentic, fresh all-natural wood fire chicken served in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. As the oldest operating Cowboy Chicken, the brand has built a reputation not only on its quality menu offerings but also on its commitment to exceptional guest service and a positive team culture that values respect and individuality. The restaurant prides itself on creating memorable dining experiences, from the enticing sight of chickens roasting on an open fire to their delicious sides like enchiladas and homemade peach cobbler. This blend of tradition and quality makes Cowboy Chicken a unique place to work and dine, drawing customers who appreciate both flavor and authenticity.
The Assistant Manager position at Cowboy Chicken is a pivotal leadership role designed to drive profitable sales growth through excellent store management, guest interaction, and team development. Working closely with the General Manager, the Assistant Manager helps to execute and maintain smooth store operations and is entrusted to lead the team in the General Manager’s absence. This role offers a structured 6-week training program that equips new hires with the essential tools, knowledge, and skills needed to excel as an Assistant Manager. From there, employees can pursue performance-based advancement opportunities leading up to the General Manager level. The position involves managing day-to-day operational details, fostering a motivated and high-performing team, and ensuring that customer experiences are consistently positive.
This full-time role requires about 50 to 55 hours of work per week, including a flexible schedule with opening, closing, weekends, and holiday shifts. Notably, the store closes at 9 PM, so late-night work is not part of the schedule, which helps to maintain a balanced work-life dynamic. The workplace culture at Cowboy Chicken is characterized by open, authentic communication where team members are encouraged to express their personalities. The environment is supportive and team-oriented, enabling employees to build lasting friendships while growing professionally. The company also emphasizes respect for every individual, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and guests.
For those passionate about fast casual dining and leadership growth, this role offers valuable benefits, including location flexibility, monthly bonuses, insurance options, paid time off and sick leave, and a 401k retirement plan. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in restaurant management and supervision and demonstrate a natural leadership ability geared toward success and continuous improvement. Joining Cowboy Chicken means becoming part of a legacy that respects the past while embracing growth, all within a fun and distinctive dining setting that invites both staff and customers to make memories that last.
