The Receptionist 004 position at the Perth Amboy, NJ location is a critical frontline role within this impactful organization. This hourly position, offering a wage of $21.00 per hour, calls for a bilingual professional fluent in both English and Spanish who possesses excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor. The receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for clients, volunteers, and visitors, responsible for managing switchboard operations, directing calls efficiently, and providing warm support to a diverse client base seeking social services. The role demands patience, discretion, and sound judgment in handling sensitive situations while ensuring adherence to agency policies and front office procedures.

This full-time role operates on a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:45 am to 4:00 pm, with occasional evening shifts from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm when coverage is necessary. Besides answering and transferring calls, the position includes processing client payments with accuracy, recording transactions, managing incident reports, and performing administrative tasks as assigned. The receptionist will also be entrusted with building opening and closing responsibilities and maintaining strict compliance with security protocols to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
