Job Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in food preparation in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant
  • current Food Handlers Card
  • intermediate to advanced cooking skills
  • intermediate to advanced knife skills
  • flexibility to work extended or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • ability to work well under stress
  • knowledge of food safety, chemical and fire safety, injury prevention
  • ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • frequent hand washing required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 1 to 2 years of food preparation experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant
  • current Food Handlers Card
  • intermediate to advanced cooking skills
  • intermediate to advanced knife skills
  • ability to work extended or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • effective communication skills

Job Duties

  • Ensures food is prepared according to standards and guest preferences
  • follows food safety and health department guidelines
  • prepares ingredients and products to prep lists and recipe standards
  • maintains clean and safe work areas
  • utilizes various cooking methods to create menu items
  • minimizes food waste and properly stores leftovers
  • restocks inventory and supports other kitchen stations as needed
