Job Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 2 years of experience in food preparation in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant
- current Food Handlers Card
- intermediate to advanced cooking skills
- intermediate to advanced knife skills
- flexibility to work extended or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- ability to work well under stress
- knowledge of food safety, chemical and fire safety, injury prevention
- ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- frequent hand washing required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 1 to 2 years of food preparation experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant
- current Food Handlers Card
- intermediate to advanced cooking skills
- intermediate to advanced knife skills
- ability to work extended or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- strong team orientation and ability to work independently
- effective communication skills
Job Duties
- Ensures food is prepared according to standards and guest preferences
- follows food safety and health department guidelines
- prepares ingredients and products to prep lists and recipe standards
- maintains clean and safe work areas
- utilizes various cooking methods to create menu items
- minimizes food waste and properly stores leftovers
- restocks inventory and supports other kitchen stations as needed
