This job opening is for a full-time Prep Cook position based at Arnold & Porter, located at 250 West 55th Street in New York, NY. The position offers a schedule from Monday to Friday with varying hours that will be clarified during the interview process. The pay range for this role is $22.00 to $24.00 per hour. Employees in this position will enjoy complimentary meals, uniforms, and laundering services at specified locations. As a Prep Cook at FLIK Hospitality Group, the individual will work under the supervision of the Chef to prepare food items according to predetermined production schedules and recipes. The role involves preparing various dishes, ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations, compliance with HACCP guidelines, and maintaining kitchen sanitation and cleanliness. The Prep Cook will operate kitchen equipment, conduct taste tests to ensure quality, label and store food properly, and maintain production and waste logs. The position requires excellent customer service skills as the Prep Cook will take customer orders and efficiently serve food with a friendly demeanor. This is an important role that supports the kitchen’s operations and contributes directly to delivering an outstanding dining experience.

Job Requirements
- Previous prep cooking and kitchen stations experience required
- Ability to work a full-time schedule Monday through Friday with varying hours
- Must be able to perform essential functions of the job satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local health and safety regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to follow company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in prep cooking and kitchen stations
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to follow recipes and production guidelines
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to operate and clean kitchen equipment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef
- Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes
- Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
- Taste completed meals to ensure quality
- Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use
- Store, label and date all food items according to policy
- Follow HACCP guidelines
- Complete all required documentation, reports, logs as required
- Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
- Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time
- Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner
- Complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations
- Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
- Resolve customer concerns
- Perform other duties as assigned
