The full-time Prep Cook position is based at Archbishop Molloy High School, located at 83-53 Manton Street, Briarwood, NY 11435. This role plays a critical part in the daily operations of the dining services team by preparing high-quality food items that meet safety and hygiene standards and by providing excellent customer service. Prep Cooks at CulinArt are essential contributors to delivering exceptional dining experiences, ensuring all food is prepared efficiently and according to established recipes and safety guidelines.
Working Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, this full-time role offers a competitive pay range of $19.00 to $21.00 per hour and includes access to an employee referral bonus program. As a Prep Cook, candidates will be required to have previous deli and grill experience, bringing practical skills and knowledge to meet the high standards expected by CulinArt and its clients.
The role involves following daily production schedules and recipes to prepare items, maintaining cleanliness and safety of equipment, and adhering to HACCP food safety guidelines to ensure food quality and safety at all times. Prep Cooks also interact with customers directly, helping with short-preparation-time orders, serving food at various stations, and resolving any customer concerns promptly and professionally.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous deli and grill experience required
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
- Must comply with all federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Duties
- Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the chef
- Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes
- Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
- Taste completed meals to ensure quality
- Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use
- Store, label and date all food items according to policy
- Follow HACCP guidelines
- Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time
- Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner
- Complete orders from steam tables and grill
- Resolve customer concerns
- Perform other duties as assigned
