This role is based in Columbia, South Carolina, at the corporate dining location UNUM, where the team is committed to providing excellent dining experiences in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The position is full-time and onsite, featuring a Monday through Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays, which promotes a healthy work-life balance. As a Prep Cook for Corporate Chefs, you will join a motivated and energetic kitchen staff, where your culinary skills and passion for food preparation will be valued and enhanced. The role involves preparing high-quality meals meticulously, emphasizing scratch cooking techniques in a high-volume setting. You will be responsible for maintaining food preparation standards, adhering to safety and sanitation protocols, and presenting dishes creatively.

The compensation range for this position is $17 to $18 per hour, reflective of the expertise and commitment required. - At least one year of culinary experience in a high-volume kitchen
- familiarity with scratch cooking techniques
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong attention to detail
- experience using kitchen equipment
- customer service skills
- food handlers’ certification preferred
Job Qualifications
- At least one years’ prior culinary experience in a quality and high-volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
- working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards
- excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks in fast-paced environment
- ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools as well as identify and differentiate food items
- customer service experience is required
- food handlers’ certification (preferred)
