The Prep Cook role at Din Tai Fung is an essential position that sets the foundation for kitchen success by preparing ingredients that bring dishes to life. The Prep Cook is responsible for receiving food deliveries, inspecting ingredient quality carefully, and washing, cutting, and preparing produce and other food items strictly according to Din Tai Fung's standardized processes and procedures. Emphasis is placed on precision and consistency, as Prep Cooks become familiar with standard cutting sizes for all vegetables, ensuring every item is prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail.
