The Pizza Maker/Food Prep role at Home Run Inn's Hillside Pizzeria is a crucial position within the back-of-house team. This hourly role offers pay at $17.05/hr and involves preparing and cooking pizzas and other menu items according to Home Run Inn's high standards. Job Requirements
- must be at least 16 years old to operate kitchen equipment
- ability to constantly lift, reach, bend, and stoop
- ability to stand for extended periods up to approximately 5 hours
- ability to safely lift and stack bags and cases weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
- working knowledge of the predominant language of our guests
- flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- safety shoes required within 30 days of hire
Job Qualifications
- basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- ability to safely operate kitchen and cooking equipment
- food handler certification required within 30 days of hire
- previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus
- ability to communicate effectively with teammates
- willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- make great pizza
- prepare and stock ingredients and dry goods needed for pizza and food preparation
- read order tickets and select the appropriate ingredients
- stretch and prepare pizza crusts using proper dough-handling techniques
- measure and apply ingredients according to HRI recipes and portioning standards
- cook pizzas in the oven while monitoring the cooking process
- remove pizzas from the oven and slice them for service
