Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in culinary arts preferred
  • minimum 4 years experience managing high-volume pastry/bakery kitchen
  • leadership experience supervising teams
  • knowledge of baking procedures and equipment
  • familiarity with HACCP OSHA FDA regulations
  • ability to work flexible shifts including nights weekends and holidays
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • excellent communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in culinary arts preferred
  • certificate in culinary arts or pastry-making is a plus
  • minimum 4 years managing high-volume pastry/bakery kitchen

Job Duties

  • Manage pastry production schedules ensuring timely and accurate completion
  • sustain optimal food costs through strategic procurement and waste reduction
  • innovate baking techniques and menu offerings based on trends and seasonal ingredients
  • lead and mentor the pastry department fostering productivity and creativity
  • oversee training and development aligning with department goals
  • ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
  • resolve operational challenges maintaining smooth operations and food safety
  • maintain production standards ensuring quality and presentation
  • manage inventory coordinating with procurement for timely supplies
  • stay ahead of industry trends implementing best practices
  • support additional tasks and special projects as assigned
