Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum seven years culinary experience focusing on pastry
  • graduation from culinary school or successful completion of an apprenticeship program
  • ability to certify as Pastry Culinarian within two years
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to work with a sense of urgency
  • strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in the preparation of all baked goods
  • take responsibility for daily operations of the pastry shop in the absence of the Executive Pastry Chef
  • produce pastries, cakes, and special sweet preparations to high quality standards
  • maintain files of recipes, decorating templates, and stencils
  • ensure all products are tested and meet presentation and taste requirements
  • work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
  • collaborate with team members to deliver superior culinary experiences
