Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience in a commercial pastry kitchen preferred
  • Ability to follow prep lists and instructions
  • Effective communication skills
  • Availability to work shifts between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., including weekends and holidays
  • Flexibility to work extended shifts during peak periods

Job Duties

  • Provide guidance and daily supervision to bakery staff
  • Support and administer operational goals
  • Monitor achievement of performance and profit objectives
  • Adhere to scheduling and coordinate with manager on scheduling concerns
  • Produce pastry and bakery items for food and beverage outlets
  • Follow prep lists and ensure kitchen is stocked and ready for service
  • Support compliance with departmental budgets
  • Promote and demonstrate superior customer service
  • Ensure customer service standards are followed by staff
  • Address customer service issues
  • Assist with maintaining cost control methods and inventory
  • Track and maintain attendance records
  • Assist with quality assurance procedures
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Maintain confidentiality in all company matters
