The position involves partnering closely with management to ensure the effective training and supervision of all restaurant staff, thereby elevating the guest dining experience. Candidates will be responsible for overseeing daily dining operations, ensuring compliance with Omni's standards for attendance, uniform appearance, and service quality. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- one year of experience in food and beverage supervision or management role preferred
- must have and maintain Texas Food Handlers and TABC certifications
- ability to communicate clearly and pleasantly both verbally and in writing in English
- must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
- must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects of moderate weight without assistance
- must have strong attention to detail and customer service skills
Job Qualifications
- one year of experience in Food and Beverage supervision or management role preferred
- must have and maintain Texas Food Handlers and TABC certifications
- ability to communicate clearly and pleasantly both verbally and in writing in English
- prior serving and cash handling experience preferred
- must be able to work in a fast paced environment and multitask
- must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- must have the ability to manage deadlines
- basic familiarization with Food and Beverage financials including cost and par controls is preferred
- strong attention to detail and customer service skills
- knowledge of emergency procedures and accident prevention
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects of moderate weight without assistance
Job Duties
- maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni standards
- maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including proper attire and name tag
- monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, cleanliness and well being of restaurant guests
- maintain full familiarity with menus and beverage offerings
- ensure all staff complete side work checklists
- spot check liquor pars and order daily supplies
- monitor food and liquor requisitions
- maintain bar controls, safety and standards
- hold pre-shift meetings and ensure department training requirements are met monthly
- follow up on established training steps
- handle guest comments and complaints ensuring member and guest satisfaction
- communicate with guests and receive feedback
- stay on the floor during peak hours to motivate team and assist when needed
- observe, teach and correct staff's service professionally
- work closely with culinary team to ensure smooth quality service
- assist manager in scheduling and forecasting weekly and monthly
- participate in interviewing and recruiting as needed
- assist in monthly MOS audits
- prepare maintenance requests and follow-up
- maintain knowledge of hotel property and events
- participate in department meetings and other required company training
- perform other duties as assigned by restaurant management
