We are currently seeking motivated and friendly Servers to join our team at Keke's Breakfast Cafe in a part-time capacity. This role is critical in ensuring that every guest leaves with a memorable dining experience characterized by attentive service, timely food delivery, and genuine hospitality. As a Server, you will be the face of Keke's Breakfast Cafe, welcoming guests warmly from their first arrival to their last farewell. This job requires candidates to be energetic, personable, and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask efficiently during busy breakfast hours.

This daytime-only role is perfect for individuals who enjoy interacting with guests and working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. The position offers a consistent schedule from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily, including weekends and holidays, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas when the cafe is closed. Full-time applicants must consider Keke's their primary place of employment, ensuring commitment and continuity within the team. Additionally, employees will adhere to a dress code that includes dark blue jeans with a black belt and black non-slip shoes from their first day.

The Server job at Keke's Breakfast Cafe involves a variety of responsibilities, from greeting and seating guests to explaining menu specials and taking orders accurately using the point-of-sale system. Servers are also expected to prepare certain beverage items like coffee and tea and assist in maintaining a clean and orderly environment through pre-bussing and post-shift side work. Throughout the shift, Servers monitor guests' satisfaction, respond promptly to requests, and work collaboratively with co-workers to provide seamless service. The role requires standing for prolonged periods and occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds. Basic math skills for handling payments and operating cash registers or POS systems are essential.

Job Requirements

  • Must be available 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM every day including weekends and holidays closed Thanksgiving and Christmas

  • First day of work all employees must have dark blue jeans with a black belt and black non-slip shoes

Job Qualifications

  • Able to work standing for up to 8 hours
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Exceptional grooming habits
  • Excellent basic math skills and the ability to operate a cash register or POS system
  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds without assistance

Job Duties

  • Welcome and greet guests upon arrival and at the table and make them feel personally taken care of
  • Inform guests of specials and menu changes
  • Be knowledgeable about meals and substitutions
  • Make recommendations and answer questions about food beverages and restaurant services
  • Take food and beverage orders and enter them in the point-of-sale system promptly
  • Prepare coffee tea and toast when a line or toast assistant is not present
  • Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner
  • Perform side work at the start throughout and at the end of each shift per your station assignment
  • Maintain clean service areas including tables seats floors and windows walls cleaned thoroughly after each guest
  • Monitor guests dining experience and respond promptly and courteously to requests
  • Prepare the final bill present the check accept payment and process credit cards or make change
  • Pre-bus your tables and assist the busser with final clearing and cleaning
  • Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
  • Be ready to assist co-workers and fill in as needed for smooth efficient operation
