We are currently seeking a dynamic and professional Line Cook to join our culinary team at Best Western Adams Inn. This full-time position offers an hourly wage of $20.00 - $24.00 and is based onsite at our Quincy, MA location. As a Line Cook, you will play an essential role in the daily operations of the kitchen by preparing high-quality food items that not only meet but exceed guest expectations. Your responsibilities will range from following precise recipes and presentation guidelines to accommodating special dietary requests and allergies. Excellence in food preparation, food safety, and sanitation is crucial in this role to maintain both brand and health inspection standards.
As a Line Cook at Best Western Adams Inn, you will be involved in numerous key kitchen tasks such as coordinating food orders to ensure timely delivery to guests, careful handling and storage of food products, and maintaining cleanliness and organization within your work area. You will prepare meals following established portion and quality control standards, which helps to minimize waste and control food costs. The position demands a detail-oriented, proactive individual who can work efficiently during busy periods while ensuring all meals maintain the hotel’s high quality standard.
This role requires flexibility in working hours including mid-shift, evening, weekends, and holiday shifts, reflecting the continuous nature of hospitality services. The Line Cook must also be knowledgeable about kitchen and restaurant safety procedures and able to respond appropriately to emergencies. The ability to follow all safety policies and actively report any injuries or hazards is a critical part of maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to work onsite at the hotel location
- Availability to work full-time, 40 hours per week including mid, PM, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of kitchen and restaurant safety and emergency procedures
- Ability to maintain speed in meal production while ensuring high quality food
- Ability to follow safety policies and immediately report injuries to management

Job Duties
- Prepare high-quality food items to order while exceeding guests' expectations by following recipe, temperature, and presentation guidelines
- Ensure special guest requests are accommodated with any specific/allergy information while delivering the same high-quality standards
- Coordinate food orders to support timely and efficient delivery to the table
- Handle and store food in a safe and sanitary manner in accordance with sanitation codes
- Set up, break down, and clean cook areas, including but not limited to steam table, sandwich cooler, reach-ins, grill & broiler area, fryers, salad sections, and sink basins
- Prepare meals in accordance with established portion and quality control standards
- Prepare and control food usage in order to minimize waste and control food costs
- Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area that meet or exceed the state and local health board inspection and brand standards
- Advise the Executive Chef of low inventory items and perform receiving and inventory duties as specified
- Responsible for complying with appropriate meal checklist, rotating foods properly while maintaining an adequate supply of needed products for the next shift
- Prepare food for banquets as specified by function contracts
- Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order
- Must be able to work onsite at the hotel location
- Knowledge of kitchen and restaurant safety and emergency procedures
- Ability to maintain speed in meal production while ensuring high quality food
- Ability to follow safety policies and procedures and immediately report injuries to their manager or manager on duty
