The role of the Froster at Nothing Bundt Cakes is essential to putting the final touch on the delicious cakes that make every moment extra special. As a Froster, you will be responsible for meticulously following proprietary recipes and frosting methods to create visually appealing, high-quality cakes for customers. Job Requirements

  • Applicants must be 16 years of age or older
  • must complete and maintain Washington State Food Handlers permit
  • must have flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • previous experience in operational support at a bakery, restaurant or foodservice environment is a plus
  • no formal education required

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to understand written and oral directions
  • ability to interpret instructional documents such as recipes, order tickets, operating procedures and health and safety rules
  • understands basic units of measurement used in the U.S.
  • ability to perform repetitious tasks requiring precise and continuous movement of arms, wrists, hands and fingers
  • physical capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • meticulous about measurements, timing and working on a fast-paced schedule
  • ability to evaluate products, processes and surroundings for compliance with standards
  • discipline and attention to detail to adhere to health and safety practices
  • diligent, organized and self-motivated with ability to prioritize workload and work independently

Job Duties

  • Completes opening and closing shift checklists daily
  • follows our proprietary frosting recipe and application methods with precision and achieves efficiency goals
  • effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade and table-top mixer and pastry bags to frost cakes
  • consistently uses timer for setting frosting on cakes to meet time standards for waiting guests
  • prioritizes cake pre-orders according to schedule and frost cakes for walk-in guest orders accordingly
  • responsible for maintaining par levels for cake sizes and flavors
  • prepares and crafts all custom bundtini orders
  • ensures an frosted cakes are available for guests in the bakery display case for best presentation
  • adheres to proper packaging, labeling and storage of frosted cakes and product rotation standards
  • maintains frosting and refrigeration logs
  • responsible for maintaining refrigerator cleanliness, par levels and organization of all cake products
  • monitors inventory of frosting supplies and notifies management when replenishment is required
  • evaluates baked and frosted cakes to ensure standards are met and informs management of any quality control issues
  • maintains cake waste log
  • prepares cake boxes ensuring adequate supply
  • cleans, sanitizes and restocks workstation
  • ensures frosting supplies are prepared for the next shift
  • washes equipment and frosting utensils
  • complies with all health and safety guidelines, policies and procedures including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene
  • maintains consistent work attendance and punctuality record
