Starbucks Coffee Company, a globally recognized leader in the coffeehouse industry, has cultivated a unique culture centered on connection, community, and crafted beverage excellence since its inception. Known for celebrating the rich tradition of coffee while fostering environments where people feel a sense of belonging, Starbucks continues to innovate and lead in coffee experiences. As part of its distinguished portfolio, Starbucks Reserve embodies the highest level of craftsmanship and service, presenting guests with uniquely curated offerings in flagship store locations and Reserve Kitchens throughout the United States. This venture highlights Starbucks' dedication to quality, community, and immersive experiences centered on artisan coffee and complementary beverages.
The role of Mixologist (Bartender) within Starbucks Reserve locations is pivotal in delivering an exceptional customer experience that marries the artistry of craft cocktails with the celebrated Reserve coffee offerings. As a Starbucks Reserve Mixologist, you serve as a global brand ambassador, demonstrating expertise in beer, wine, and craft cocktail preparation, while honoring the ingredients and meticulous processes that define the brand’s elevated beverage service. This position requires a passionate professional who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced settings and is committed to embodying Starbucks' values of integrity, honesty, and customer-centric service.
This role involves the creation of unique beverage experiences through innovative mixology techniques, incorporating Reserve coffees in sophisticated cocktails that delight and engage customers. Mixologists lead with a total service model, ensuring each guest interaction reflects the Starbucks Reserve commitment to quality, connection, and memorable moments. Responsibilities extend beyond beverage preparation to include maintaining a welcoming environment, adhering to health and safety standards, and abiding by all legal and company regulations related to alcohol service.
Candidates will need to leverage their knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and mixology principles to craft beverages that not only taste exceptional but also tell a story and elevate the overall Starbucks experience. Mixologists also play a key role in educating customers about the Reserve Café’s offerings, ideal pairings, and the broader narrative around Starbucks’ innovative beverage program. This position demands strong multitasking abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to engage with a diverse clientele and foster an inclusive atmosphere.
Starbucks offers a comprehensive benefits package to their partners, supporting health, well-being, and professional growth. The company promotes a culture of inclusion and equal opportunity, welcoming applicants from various backgrounds and experiences to contribute to the team’s success. As a partner with Starbucks, individuals have access to paid parental leave, family expansion reimbursements, vacation accrual, disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, tuition coverage through Arizona State University, and much more, fostering a supportive environment for career and personal development.
This employment opportunity is in New York and is designed for those who are enthusiastic about crafting exceptional beverage experiences and eager to represent a global leader in hospitality and coffee innovation. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, underscoring Starbucks' commitment to meeting customer needs whenever they arise. If you are a detail-oriented, experienced bartender with a passion for mixology and storytelling, this role offers a platform to shine and grow your career in a respected and forward-thinking company.
