The Catering & Convention Services Manager role at Marquette Hotel is a pivotal position that blends creativity, client service, and strategic business acumen to elevate catering and convention success. As a manager, you will lead food and beverage sales initiatives, ensuring that client groups and events are executed flawlessly from concept to completion. This role entails a responsibility for achieving revenue goals, satisfying clients, and contributing to the hotel’s overall sales targets by working closely with the Director of Sales or Director of Catering/Convention Services. The position is overtime eligible, recognizing the dynamic and demanding nature of event management.
Your role will involve being a proactive leader who excels in building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service, engaging tours, and personalized interactions. You will be the market expert, spotting new opportunities and staying informed about industry trends to keep the hotel competitive in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to manage the intricate details of events, including banquet orders and last-minute changes, will ensure guests experience seamless, memorable occasions. Engaging with the community and local events will be part of your efforts to enhance the hotel’s reputation and visibility.
