This Local Delivery Driver position based in Corpus Christi, TX, at the Agnes Retail Shop branch, presents an exciting opportunity for candidates who are committed to safety and customer service. The role involves the safe and reliable delivery of compressed gas cylinders to various local and regional business partners using company-provided vehicles such as straight or box trucks. Pay for this role is competitive at $25 per hour, alongside potential quarterly bonuses, making it a rewarding career choice. As a Service and Delivery Professional at Airgas, you will manage the flow of compressed gas cylinders efficiently, ensuring deliveries and pickups are completed accurately while building strong, lasting relationships with customers. The job demands adherence to strict safety and regulatory standards, including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA guidelines, all of which are integral to maintaining Airgas’s reputation for dependable and safe operations. Job Requirements

  • Must have valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Must possess a valid Medical Examiner's Card
  • Must hold Hazmat Endorsement and Airbrake certification
  • Must have at least one year of prior Class B professional driving experience within the last five years or a driving school diploma with additional required experience
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets
  • Must be able to routinely lift 25 to 75 pounds and occasionally lift over 125 pounds with equipment
  • Must be able to obtain forklift operator certification
  • Must be able to work occasional overtime if necessary

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Valid Medical Examiner's Card
  • Hazmat Endorsement and Airbrake certification
  • One year of prior Class B professional driving experience within the last five years and a clean driving record with limited convictions or at-fault accidents
  • Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets
  • Ability to routinely lift 25 to 75 pounds and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 pounds with material handling equipment
  • Ability to obtain forklift operator certification
  • Must be at least 21 years old

Job Duties

  • Safely load deliver and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations
  • Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest obtaining customer signatures for receipt
  • Collect empty rejected or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling
  • Adhere to all Airgas safety standards and government regulations including those from DOT EPA FMCSA FDA and OSHA
  • Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed
