Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Apply thorough knowledge and culinary techniques to execute menu items consistently
  • Monitor meals for appearance, quality, portion control, and temperature standards
  • Ensure stations are set before service and sufficient mis-en-place is prepared for the next shift
  • Uphold safety standards and report injuries promptly
  • Assist in controlling food and labor costs, purchasing, receiving, and inventory management
  • Ensure meal and rest breaks are available and properly recorded
  • Establish proper par levels and conduct inventories
  • Label, date, rotate, and store products properly
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of production and merchandising areas
  • Communicate effectively with management, guests, and team members
  • Utilize point-of-sale system to take and complete orders
  • Bag orders efficiently maintaining quality and presentation
  • Set the tone for shifts and assume responsibility for results
  • Secure building at closing
  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary
