With over 100 years of history as a family-owned business, Delaware North has established itself as a global leader in hospitality, focusing on providing outstanding guest experiences through its diverse portfolio. The Patina Group, a subsidiary of Delaware North, specifically specializes in high-quality dining experiences and hospitality services, including prestigious venues and award-winning restaurants. One of their celebrated locations is Centrico, located in the Downtown Disney District in Anaheim, California. Centrico is a vibrant restaurant that brings modern Mexican cuisine to life, showcasing the culinary artistry of Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytán. This venue offers a menu rich with bold flavors and creative techniques, providing guests with inventive dishes and handcrafted cocktails in an atmosphere full of color, music, and lively design, where every meal feels like a celebration. Alongside Centrico is Tiendita, another exciting dining spot that complements the culinary offerings of the Patina Group in Anaheim, enhancing the team environment and guest experiences.
The role available with Delaware North's Patina Group at Centrico and Tiendita is for full-time and part-time Line Cooks, offering an hourly wage of $21.00. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen by preparing dishes according to detailed recipes and specific chef instructions, ensuring that every plate meets the highest standards of quality and presentation. The position requires a fast-paced, precise approach to cooking, with responsibilities that include proper measurement, portioning, and cooking of food items in a timely manner. Additionally, maintaining correct food temperatures and safe storage procedures is essential to guarantee food safety and compliance with health regulations. The Line Cook will be responsible for various opening, closing, and side work duties while keeping the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized, and sufficiently stocked at all times. Waste control is another important aspect of the job, with a requirement to follow established guidelines and document any spoilage accordingly.
Working as a Line Cook with Delaware North offers the unique advantage of joining a supportive and dynamic team in a well-respected company dedicated to employee development. The company emphasizes the personal and professional well-being of its team members by providing comprehensive benefits such as weekly pay, training and development opportunities, employee discounts, and flexible work schedules. In addition to these benefits, eligible employees may receive health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a company match, paid vacation days and holidays, paid parental bonding leave, an employee assistance program, as well as tuition and professional certification reimbursement. Working shifts may include days, evenings, holidays, weekdays, and weekends, presenting a flexible schedule suitable for various lifestyles.
Joining Delaware North's Patina Group means becoming part of a global hospitality legacy with access to diverse career paths and growth opportunities within iconic locations such as sports arenas, national parks, casinos, and luxury hotels. This environment encourages employees to thrive in their roles while contributing to fantastic guest experiences. If you have at least one year of experience as a prep or line cook, possess the ability to prioritize tasks with speed and precision, can follow instructions carefully, and have basic math skills for recipe measurements, this role is a wonderful chance to advance your career in the culinary arts. The physical demands of the position include manual dexterity, the ability to lift heavy pans up to 50 pounds, and the stamina to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions in variable temperature settings. Delaware North is dedicated to diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants of all backgrounds and identities to apply and join their team.
