Currently, JOEY Restaurants is seeking passionate individuals for the roles of Line Cook and Prep Cook, both vital to the seamless execution of its culinary offerings. These positions offer a competitive wage range from $17.75 to $30.00 per hour and are eligible for participation in the company’s tip pool, with average tips ranging from $3.00 to $10.00 per hour. As a Line Cook at JOEY, you will be entrusted with preparing and presenting dishes that meet the highest standards of quality and consistency. This role demands mastery of various cooking methods such as grilling, roasting, sautéing, and frying, while maintaining strict adherence to recipes and safety guidelines. Precision, speed, and teamwork are essential as you operate in a fast-paced environment, ensuring guests receive exceptional culinary experiences.
Alternatively, the Prep Cook role focuses on the essential preparation of ingredients, supporting the kitchen team by ensuring all components are measured, portioned, and ready for final cooking stages. Job Requirements
- 1-3+ years culinary experience
- Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler permits
- Must possess a passion for hospitality and a proven track record of creating world-class hospitality experiences
- Must thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
- Must be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to frequently bend, reach, stretch, and perform repetitive manual tasks
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prep all ingredients and food products to fulfill prep lists, par levels, and recipe standards
- Utilize various prep and cooking methods to ensure the quick, precise creation of menu items according to JOEY recipes
- Wash, chop, cut, grill, roast, sauté, fry, etc
- Coordinate with other stations to ensure seamless kitchen operations
- Develop knife skills for efficiency and safety
- Communicate effectively with the team to deliver perfect food coordination
- Maintain prep and cooking areas in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner
- Clean, organize, and maintain refrigerators, cooler drawers, ovens, prep and dry storage areas
- Complete assigned side work and closing duties to support team success
- Stock, clean, and organize line stations
- Follow all instructions and guidelines for the safe usage of kitchen equipment and cleaning compounds
- Report equipment problems and maintenance issues to leadership promptly
- Adhere to all food service and handling safety precautions and procedures
