The Line Cook, or Back of House Team Member, at Ggiata plays a critical role in maintaining the high standards that define the brand's reputation. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • six months to one year of kitchen experience preferred but not required
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to lift and carry weights up to 25 lbs
  • dependable and punctual
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • willingness to follow food safety and sanitation procedures
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Six months to one year of kitchen experience is a plus but not required
  • strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly
  • comfortable communicating and interacting with teammates
  • conversational English and Spanish is a plus
  • dependable, punctual, and committed to supporting the team
  • ability to stay organized, calm, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb stairs for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 25 lbs and carry items at least 10 feet
  • commitment to hospitality and working nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare and assemble menu items according to Ggiata recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines
  • execute line stations efficiently during service, maintaining speed, accuracy, and consistency
  • support daily prep tasks, including slicing, portioning, labeling, and stocking stations
  • maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards across the kitchen and line stations
  • follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times
  • communicate clearly with kitchen teammates and Front of House to support smooth service flow
  • assist with opening, closing, and restocking duties as assigned
  • take direction from Kitchen leadership and support the team during busy periods
  • perform other duties as assigned
