Ggiata Delicatessen is a New Jersey-inspired Italian deli that has been serving the Los Angeles area since 2021. Founded by childhood friends Noah Holton-Raphael, Max Bahramipour, and Jack Biebel, it aims to bring the authentic flavors of East Coast delis to the West Coast.

The menu features a variety of hot and cold sandwiches, salads, and sides, all crafted with high-quality ingredients. Signature hot sandwiches include "The Spicy P," with chicken cutlet, spicy vodka sauce, fresh mozzarella, grated Romano, basil pesto, and fresh basil on a charred seeded baguette.

Another popular option is "The Masterpiece," combining prosciutto di Parma, marinated eggplant, tomato confit, roasted red peppers, stracciatella, arugula, and red wine vinaigrette on charred ciabatta.

For vegetarians, the "Madeline" sandwich offers grilled portobello mushroom, roasted broccolini, roasted red peppers, vegan almond ricotta, balsamic glaze, and arugula on ciabatta. Salads like "Julia's Tuna Salad" and sides such as arancini—white wine risotto balls with a gooey fontina-filled center—are also available.

Locations

Ggiata's first location opened in the Melrose Hill neighborhood of Los Angeles in March 2021, initially as a takeout and delivery service. Its success led to additional branches:

Each location is designed to evoke the nostalgic feel of East Coast diners and luncheonettes, featuring custom mosaic floors, granite countertops, and vintage diner stools.

The Highland Park branch offers 21 seats inside and 10 seats outside, providing a welcoming space for the community to enjoy their meals.
