Job Requirements
- previous cooking or food preparation experience
- cafeteria, institutional, or commercial kitchen experience preferred
- knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- strong attention to consistency, quality, and cleanliness

Job Duties
- prepare and cook daily menu items according to established recipes and production schedules
- ensure food is prepared, held, and served in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- set up, stock, and maintain assigned kitchen workstations
- monitor food quality, freshness, and proper temperatures throughout service
- assist with receiving, labeling, storing, and rotating food products using FIFO practices
- maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, prep areas, equipment, and storage spaces
- support opening and closing kitchen procedures as assigned
- work collaboratively with cafeteria team members to meet daily service needs
- contribute to a positive, efficient, and professional work environment
