Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • At least 4 years of experience as a line cook preferred
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to satisfy every need of guests
  • Knowledgeable about the menu and products carried
  • Ability to safely use a variety of utensils including knives
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers
  • Adherence to Sicilian Butcher safety policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience cooking in a restaurant
  • Understanding of cooking methods and procedures
  • Proficiency in knife handling skills
  • Ability to perform tasks with precision, speed, and attention to detail
  • Capacity to read and follow cooking instructions
  • Organized and self-initiated
  • Knowledge about the menu and the varying products
  • Familiarity with standardized Sicilian Butcher recipes
  • Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers
  • Excellent customer service and positive attitude
  • Adherence to food safety and sanitation policies

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and cook as indicated in recipes
  • Ensure that ingredients at the workstation are ready on schedule to guarantee smooth delivery
  • Organize and clean the workstation according to restaurant protocol
  • Maintain cleanliness of the workstation including kitchen equipment
  • Comply with sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards
  • Guarantee the quality and freshness of ingredients and products
  • Perform additional cleaning tasks as assigned by the line supervisor, sous-chef, or executive chef
