Job Requirements

High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
Culinary degree preferred or equivalent experience
Open availability with ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
Ability to pass a mandatory drug test and criminal background check
Active California Food Handlers Certificate/Card required
Ability to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 100 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for 3 or more hours daily
Repetitive use of hands for grasping, manipulation, pushing, pulling, and reaching throughout shift
Exposure to noise, dust, gas, flames, chemicals, temperature extremes, humidity, or wetness
Ability to perform duties with or without accommodation

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to appropriate recipes and presentation standards on a consistent basis
Provide consistent safe and sanitary food storage, preparation, and cooking
Monitor and control maintenance and sanitation of the kitchen and equipment
Recognize and follow quality standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, dairy products, and grains, including proper storage
Utilize leftovers effectively and control waste
Take direction and be flexible in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Work collaboratively as a team player in confined kitchen spaces
