The Life Enrichment Liaison position at CJE SeniorLife plays a crucial role in promoting resident engagement and ensuring smooth daily operations within the residential community. This on-site role is tailored to individuals who are passionate about creating meaningful activities and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for older adults. The Life Enrichment Liaison is responsible for developing and implementing programs and events that reduce social isolation, encourage mental and physical activity, and build a strong community among residents. In addition to program coordination, this role involves providing support for dining services, organizing volunteer schedules, and accompanying residents on outings to ensure their safety and well-being. Clear communication, excellent customer service, and organizational skills are fundamental attributes for success in this position. The role also involves managing resident requests and concerns, planning special events such as birthdays and holiday celebrations, and providing new resident orientation to facilitate community integration. With a salary of $52,000 per year and a typical work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, this role requires membership in the Service Employees International Union Local 73 as a condition of employment. - 2 years of experience working with elderly or special populations in residential settings preferred

Job Duties
- Manages the phones and responds to Resident requests and concerns
- plans and implements appropriate activities designed to reduce isolation
- engage residents
- build community and increase resident mental and physical activity levels
- plans and organizes special events such as birthday parties, religious and holiday activities
- assists with Resident dining including meal orders, menu feedback, and setting up meal services
- supports volunteer schedules, confirming volunteer hours and guides volunteers onsite
- accompanies residents on off-site outings ensuring safety and well-being
- encourages and initiates small-group activities
- prepares and distributes monthly calendars of events
- assists in flyer design for activities and events
- provides new resident orientation
- evaluates effectiveness of activities and reports to managers
- monitors supply inventory and orders when necessary
- attends meetings and in-services
- manages difficult or emotional customer situations
- responds promptly to customer needs
- solicits and acts on customer feedback
- communicates changes effectively
