The Lead Cashier (LC) position at Ulta Beauty is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of guest transactions while upholding the highest standards of cashwrap cleanliness and overall aesthetics. Job Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Be at least 18 years old
- Ability to stand and move continuously throughout the store
- Frequent bending, lifting up to 25 lbs, and coordination required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 2 years relevant work experience
- Proficient with POS technology
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and lead peers
- Passionate about customer service and sales
- Commitment to Ulta Beauty’s policies and dress code
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent
- Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
- Passion for guest service and competency in selling
- Experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities
- Proficiency with Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
- Ability to adapt and work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s sales, loyalty, and shrink goals
- Provide exceptional guest service by greeting, engaging, and personalizing experiences
- Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously
- Book appointments and support in-store events to enhance guest experience
- Maintain cashwrap displays and supplies in a guest-ready state
- Assist in training new cashiers and cross-train associates in cashiering
- Support leadership with register functions and associate exit inspections
