Job Description

Macao Trading Company is a distinguished upscale restaurant and bar located in the vibrant neighborhood of TriBeCa, New York City. Established for over 14 years, Macao has developed a reputation for offering an exceptional culinary and social experience, which has made it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The establishment prides itself on creating a unique and memorable atmosphere, blending quality food, expertly crafted cocktails, and attentive service to provide its guests with a truly special dining experience. Macao's commitment to excellence in hospitality and food and beverage service has positioned it as a notable player within NYC's competitive restaurant scene.

As the New York City restaurant and bar industry regains momentum post-pandemic, Macao Trading Company is actively expanding its team and is currently seeking experienced and motivated Front of House (FOH) Managers to join its esteemed staff. This part-time role offers a dynamic and engaging work environment for hospitality professionals who are passionate about food, cocktails, and guest service. The FOH Manager will play a vital role in upholding and elevating the restaurant's service standards, ensuring every guest’s visit is exceptional and reflective of Macao’s brand values. This position requires working late-night shifts, emphasizing the bustling nightlife aspect of the restaurant and bar. The ideal candidate will be personable, hospitality-minded, and enthusiastic, equipped with a positive attitude and a sincere passion for service excellence.

The FOH Manager's responsibilities extend beyond just overseeing daily operations; this role includes setting benchmarks for service quality, managing and motivating the front-of-house team, and directly addressing any service-related challenges that arise during a shift. In addition to these hands-on leadership duties, the role may involve some administrative and office tasks, underscoring its comprehensive scope. The ability to deliver consistent, top-tier customer service while guiding the team to meet and exceed performance expectations is paramount for this role. Candidates joining Macao will be part of a dedicated, professional team focused on maintaining the restaurant’s high standard of hospitality and enhancing the overall guest experience.
