Job Requirements

  • Ability to perform cleaning duties and assist with stocking and storage

Job Duties

  • Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times
  • Adheres to hospital policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines
  • Responsible for starting the dish machine, filling all tanks, and ensuring proper operations of the equipment
  • Responsible for cleaning of dish machine as assigned (i.e., de-liming of hard water)
  • Must follow proper procedures for washing of dishes in machine or in the three-compartment sink (i.e., using correct scraping procedures, cleaning solutions, and proper racks)
  • Handles equipment (dishes, pots/pans, etc.) with caution to prevent damage and breakage
  • Returns all clean dishes to proper location after cleaning
  • Responsible for cleaning all floors and heavy equipment used in the department
  • Assists warehouseman with storage and stocking of food and supplies as needed
  • Assures that all trash in department is collected and taken to proper location
  • Attends all department and hospital in-services as required
  • Performs special cleaning and other duties as assigned
