Currently, Fogo de Chão is hiring for the position of Kitchen Prep. This role is integral to maintaining the high standards of the kitchen by supporting the preparation and presentation of various menu items including salad bar components, side dishes, and desserts. The Kitchen Prep team member ensures that all food items are prepared efficiently and in accordance with established recipes and quality guidelines. Attention to detail is crucial in maintaining the freshness and quality of all inventory and produce, as well as managing inventory levels and storage areas effectively.
Additionally, the Kitchen Prep position involves assisting management with tracking expiration dates of products to guarantee food safety and operational efficiency. Maintaining cleanliness and proper sanitation of kitchen equipment and work areas is also a key responsibility. To support the smooth operation of the kitchen, the Kitchen Prep team member completes designated opening and closing shift duties as assigned by management.
Working at a fast pace and the ability to handle physical demands such as lifting objects up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods are essential requirements for this role. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is also necessary to meet the operational needs of the restaurant.
Fogo de Chão offers competitive pay for the Kitchen Prep position, starting at $21.30 and going up to $25.30 per hour, depending on relevant work experience. Comprehensive benefits are provided to both full-time and part-time team members. Full-time employees gain access to medical, dental, and vision insurance starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment, as well as company-paid life insurance and short-term disability insurance where applicable. Part-time employees receive a minimum essential coverage health plan plus dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance options. Job Duties
- Provide support through preparation and proper presentation of all salad bar items side dishes and desserts according to recipe in an efficient manner

- Proper management of inventory levels including the storage area
- Assist management with tracking of expiration dates on all products
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment and areas
- Complete any beginning or closing shift duties as directed by management
