Job Description

Fogo de Chao is a renowned Brazilian steakhouse that brings the authentic flavors and tradition of Churrasco to guests across its locations. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and exceptional dining experience, Fogo de Chao combines culinary artistry with warm hospitality to provide an unforgettable meal. The restaurant prides itself on its commitment to quality, teamwork, and community engagement, creating an environment where both guests and team members feel valued and inspired. As a leader in the restaurant industry, Fogo de Chao focuses on continuous professional development and growth opportunities for its staff, emphasizing a culture of integrity, excellence, humility, and support, famously encapsulated in the phrase Deixa Comigo, meaning "we’ve got you."

The Kitchen Prep position at Fogo de Chao is essential to maintaining the high standards that the restaurant upholds. This role is integral to the smooth operation of the kitchen, responsible for supporting the preparation and presentation of salad bar items, side dishes, and desserts that meet the detailed recipes and quality expectations. The Kitchen Prep team member ensures all inventory and fresh produce meet strict quality standards and manages inventory storage effectively by tracking expiration dates and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen and storage areas. This role plays a hands-on part in beginning and closing shift duties as directed by management, contributing to an organized and sanitary work environment.

Working in a fast-paced setting, the Kitchen Prep role demands physical stamina, as employees are required to stand for long periods, transport items up to 50 pounds, and maintain a quick work pace especially during busy periods. The position offers opportunities to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Fogo de Chao supports its team members with comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time hourly employees starting from the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Additional company-paid life insurance and short-term disability coverage are also provided where applicable. Part-time employees have access to an essential minimum health coverage plan along with dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance options starting as early as the first month of employment. Voluntary benefits such as critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident coverage, permanent life insurance, pet insurance, legal services, and ID protection are available to both full-time and part-time staff.

At Fogo de Chao, the mission to "Feed a Purposeful Future" begins with the care and development of the team, fostering a workplace where growth, inclusivity, and mutual respect thrive. The Kitchen Prep role offers a fulfilling career path for motivated individuals looking to build their skills and contribute to a company that values every team member's contribution.
